SBMF Day 1

The South Branch of the Middle Feather has got a ton of exposure as of late. I would say its a great waterfall run but having just finished Dinkey Waterfalls the SB is like OBJ of California. Back 2 back 20's, followed up double 15's. A portage, more slides and boofs. It feels like you are on the edge of world here. More waterfalls and portage around 100 plus waterfall, and end the run with a 45 footer waterfall to slide. Then camp on a island of the edge of world. Next day the lower SB. This section is seldom run and contains sweet rapids and more boofs.. Stay tuned for day 2 to Middle Feather.

Middle Fork Feather at 2g

This is a sweet run. Over a hundred rapids and some big ones to keep you scared.. We rally from the south branch middle feather having just had two days of waterfalls. Started asking for a guy named steve, that could run our shuttle. We found steve and he rocks. We had a great 3 day, lots of fun in the sun.

east fork and upper middle Kaweah

I know this is from three weeks ago but I'll been busy. Just kayaking and hanging with other paddlers. You know... I am sitting in the library in Mountain view CA. After taking a nap in the comfy couch over there in the corner. I went to my first dead show last night. What a experience, lot of stories more on that later.. here are some snapshots from the sierra south mountains. Also know as the Kaweah drainage. Home of the General Sherman Tree. (google it)
